CRPS UK is fortunate to have lots of wonderful people who help to fundraise for us so that we can continue our work. At the moment we have two people who are going to run the Bath half marathon for us, a young lady who is doing a sponsored row and another who is cycling 25 miles to raise awareness of CRPS and so that we as an organization can support people with CRPS as best we can.
Steve Mortley is a Karate instructor and enthusiast, and he is running the Bath Half Marathon in aid of CRPS UK, which takes place on the 13th March. Hannah Moore, one of our members, is a member of Steve’s karate club and is the reason he chose to run in support of CRPS UK. You can support Steve by donating to or sharing his crowdfunding page.
Katherine Earle is running the Bath half marathon in honour of a young family member who has CRPS. Her family member experiences a great deal of pain due to CRPS and her life is now quite limited. Seeing this, Katherine wanted to do something that would help people with CRPS. Please donate or share her gofundme page.
Isabel Cunningham has decided to do a sponsored row to raise money for CRPS UK and is working towards gaining her fundraising badge for scouts. Her mother has CRPS and is supported by CRPS UK, so Isabel selected us to fundraise for. She is going to see how far she can row in 30 minutes – Isabel is not a sporty person so this is a real challenge for her! It will take place on the 13th Feburary at the Link Gym Centre in Swindon. To donate or lend your support please go to her fundraising page.
Finally, Sam Hill is 14 and has CRPS in her right foot which she developed in July 2015 after a fall. With input from physiotherapy, pain management clinics and self-management Sam is now able to walk without crutches. Having always been very active and involved in a huge amount of sports, Sam set herself a challenge of doing a 25 mile cycle around her local harbour. This will take place on the 20th March and she will be accompanied by her Dad. If you would like to learn more or donate this is her gofundme page.
